Due to the pandemic situation, the students in Odisha are facing a lot of problems in submitting the original certificates. Keeping that in view, the state authority has instructed the degree colleges to permit the candidates to get the Plus III admission through downloaded marksheets. Yesterday, the Higher Education department has issued an order centering this. It stated that the students who accomplished the Plus III examinations are facing hardships in providing the original certificates and other documents. Due to this reason, the verification procedure will now take place digitally through self-attested downloaded marksheets.

Notice of the Higher Education Department

According to the notification of the departments, the educational institutions should not ask to submit their original migration certificate. They cannot exclude them from admission if they could not handover the original copies of any associated documents including PWD and caste.

Moreover, the students will have to take responsibility for submitting the original certificates to the admission-in-charge of their respective institution after getting the admission. For the first phase of admission, the students need to provide the original documents within 12 days from joining. In case of the second phase admission, the candidates need to submit them in 5 days.

The candidates will get one month from the admission date to provide their PWD and migration certificates to the colleges. Besides, if the educational bodies suspect the downloaded marksheets to be fake, they can deny admission.

In fact, the state government has permitted the guardians to report for the admission in the place of the students. Furthermore, an official from the Higher Education Department stated that the colleges will incorporate the COVID safety measurements precisely. According to the reports, the first phase of admission will begin from the 29th of September. It will last until the 2nd of October. To get more news on Odisha, keep visiting our site daily.
