Amol Palekar was admitted to a hospital in Pune, and his wife stated that ‘his condition is fine.’

Amol Palekar, 77, is well-known for his work in parallel cinema and television series, with some of his most popular films being Rajnigandha, Chitchor, Gol Maal, Shriman Shrimati, and Chhoti Si Baat.

“There is nothing to fear about Amol Palekar‘s health,” his wife Sandhya Gokhale told ABP Live. He is healing and his health is improving.” When asked what he was suffering from, Sandhya stated, “This is an ancient ailment.” He was also brought to the hospital ten years ago due to heavy smoking. But his health is great.”

Amol has been out of the spotlight for a long time. He made a comeback as an actor with the film Halla Ho, which premiered on ZEE5 last year. It was a genuine storey of Dalit women who fought a rapist in public. Rinku Rajguru, Barun Sobti, Upendra Limaye, Indraneil Sengupta, Saloni Batra, and Sahil Khattar also appeared.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Amol Palekar stated, “I’m not doing much work.” “As an actor, I am a comet that only appears once every ten years. In terms of the film’s subject, the majority of roles provided to elder performers are unimportant. I only took jobs that pushed me as an actor or added to the overall plot of the picture. Acting only for the purpose of making money was never my goal. What’s the point of pretending to be someone’s father or grandfather? I’d rather hide than be overexposed.

He, on the other hand, expressed satisfaction with the changes brought forth by OTT. “Women’s plight used to be a subtext. Female-centric issues are being handled with the emergence of OTT (over-the-top) platforms; female characters are obtaining important, starring roles. “This is a really encouraging shift,” he added.
