The numbers of COVID victims are rising high day by day in the state of Odisha. However, the governing bodies are taking several initiatives to control the spread of the deadly virus. Recently, the Biju Janata Dal or BJD unit in the state has decided to launch an awareness campaign in Odisha. The goal is to make the dwellers aware about the current situation of the state. Moreover, the campaign holders will also take on the responsibility of guiding the people about the COVID-19 precautionary guidelines. Till now, the killer virus has taken the lives of 828 innocents in Odisha. BJD has mentioned that the campaign will take place for a month.
The decision of the Chief Minister
The Chief Minister, as well as BJD president Mr Naveen Patnaik, has instructed the party members, MPs, organizational chiefs to participate in the campaign. The CM further stated that the campaign will begin from the 2nd of October. Additionally, he also mentioned that it will continue till the 2nd of November. During the campaign, the party MLAs have to provide masks to the residents at the panchayat level. Moreover, they also have to guide people on how to wear the mask properly to prevent spreading the contagious virus. The state people have to follow all the guidelines strictly until the launch of the vaccine.
The CM also asked the campaign members to encourage the state people so that they will come forward and conduct COVID testing by themselves. In fact, the awareness event will also motivate the COVID warriors for donating their plasma for the welfare of the other patients.
Odisha, with hard efforts has made the situation better to a great extent. In fact, the state has marked the highest recovery rate in India. In an exclusive press release, Mr Patnaik stated that Odisha has saved the lives of more than 2 lakh people.
