Cyclone Jawad Live Updates: Might Landfall at Puri, NDRF on alert

Any large system of wind that circulates about a center of low atmospheric pressure is called a cyclone. It occurs mainly at low and high altitude belts of both hemispheres.

Due to cyclone large rainfall and large storm surge occur near landfall. The destruction depends upon the intensity of the cyclone.

Cyclone Jawad-: 

The deep depression formed at the Bay of Bengal turned into a severe cyclic storm and was likely to landfall on the 4th of December near the northern coastal area of Andhra Pradesh. During landfall, the speed of the wild may be 90 to 100 mph.

The cyclonic storm Jawad moves continuously towards north-northwestward. It hit north Andhra Pradesh today morning. Thereafter it moves towards coastal areas of Odisha and landfall on puri about 5th December noon. Then it is likely to move towards the west bangle.

Weather prediction for cyclone Jawad

Odisha-: In Odisha the wind speed will reach from 90 to 100 kmph and Sea condition is high to very high.

West Bengal-: the wind speed Is about 55 to 65 kmph near the coastal area of West Bengal.

Andhra Pradesh-: Andhra Pradesh braces for the cyclone Jawad. The wind speed is about 55 to 65 kmph in the morning. It increases gradually and becomes 80 to 90 kmph and gusting to 100kmph in the evening.

NDRF team deployed for Jawad

In response to the cyclone, Jawad 49 self-contained NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) teams are deployed as a safety measure. These NDRF teams are deployed for the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Andaman, and Nicobar in collaboration with state authorities.

In Andhra Pradesh Eleven NDRF, Five SDRF, Six cost guards, and ten Marine police are deployed in three districts to tackle Jawad.

The school remains closed-:

As a response to the cyclone schools in 19 districts of Odisha remain closed today.9.36 am

Train canceled-:

To ensure the safety of passengers about 36 trains are canceled due to Jawad. 9.24 am

Andhra Pradesh takes Safety majors-:

As a response to the cyclone 54,000 people have been evacuated from the low-lying north coastal area of Andhra Pradesh. 9.21 am

Rainfall in Odisha-:

Due to Jawad Odisha witnessed a heavy rainfall from Saturday morning. The police monitor the situation and evacuate people to a safer place.

Rainfall in Jharkhand-:

No alert for Jharkhand but the state may experience a moderate level of rainfall and gusty wind. 9.18 am

Orange warning -:

Orange warning issued to north Andhra Pradesh and coastal areas of Odisha as jaw lay center over west Bengal at 2:30 am these two states experience heavy rainfall and a strong storm. 8.01 am

Andhra Pradesh Braces up for Cyclonic Storm-:

According to IMD Andhra Pradesh braces up as most of its area effected by Jawad. The coastal area of Andhra Pradesh Mainly Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, east, and the west Godavari are affected due to this storm.
