According to reports, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s close friend Sandip Ssingh has sued Republic TV and Arnab Goswami for the alleged tarnishing of his image. Ssingh’s attorney Rajesh Kumar sent a legal notice to Arnab Goswami and his news channel on his behalf. Sandip shared a photo of the legal notice on his Instagram handle. Additionally, he captioned it “It’s payback time”, tagged @republicworld and disabled comments on the post.
The notice demands that Arnab Goswami and Republic TV drop and delete any articles or malicious footage about Sandip immediately. It also asks them to release an unconditional apology for their frivolous and vexatious allegations. The apology should contain the true facts about Sandip’s integrity which is evident from his clean track record. It further notifies them that they need to compensate him with an amount of 200 Crore Rupees for maligning his public image.
Republic TV and Arnab Goswami must take action within 15 days upon receiving the notice. Otherwise, Sandip Ssingh will take strict legal action against the media channel and its editor-in-chief. This action might involve criminal or civil cases in a court of law. The notice states that this will be Republic TV’s cost and risk to bear.
Sandip’s Social Media Posts
In a social media post earlier, Sandip clarified about the conversation he was having with the ambulance driver. This ambulance driver was responsible for transporting Sushant Singh Rajput’s mortal remains. It had created quite a stir and Sandip wanted to shed some light on the matter. He said that although Sushant’s family did not know him, it was his duty as a friend to support him grieving sister in completing his final rites.
In another post, he mentioned how he rushed to Sushant’s house upon hearing the news of his death. He saw only Suhant’s sister present there. He said he was almost regretting his decision not to have waited for the other friends as it created such a controversy.
Sandip released a few personal chats with the late actor recently. In the captions, he addressed Sushant saying that he’s sorry for doing this and that in today’s time, friendship needs a certificate. Sandip was one of Sushant’s closest friend who supported his family and even arranged for the funeral.
