Today, all the political leaders in Odisha assembled together for commencing its Monsoon session. As per the latest updates, the session will continue until the 7th of October. The officials arranged the seats in Odisha Assembly, abiding by all the COVID-19 protocols. On the very first day of the session, the chief minister of the state Mr Naveen Patnaik attended the event remotely. He joined the session from his home Naveen Nivas through videoconference. Moreover, several MLAs and Ministers participated in the monsoon session from the conference halls of the district headquarters and state secretariat. The I & PR Department of the state tweeted about the participation of the CM in the monsoon event.
Arrangement of the seats
The state government had really made an impressive arrangement as per COVID safety measurements. In from of every bench, the officials initiated to install the glass shields as a cautionary measure. Moreover, each and every MLA was wearing masks as well as face shields. In addition, according to the guidelines, the present members had made their comment while sitting on their own seat. The sole objective was to maintain safety.

Before attending the event, each and every political leader had to undergo COVID-19 test. Around 19 MLAs counting three ministers tested positive for the killer virus. Prior to the event, the officials conduct a three-day test initiative. Earlier to this test drive, several other ministers tested positive. Those ministers did not get the permission of participating in the monsoon session.
